Meeting the needs of our guests and other climbers, in December 2003, La Posada began producing a high energy bar for climbers which we call “CRUD”. It is made entirely from natural ingredients, available in two flavors “with raisins” and “with chocolate” and has proved to be extremely popular. The bars weigh 100g, twice the weight of almost all “factory” bars and sells for just 14 pesos.
For each bar sold, we donate 2 pesos to a local bolt fund, helping to put up more routes for you to climb
Bolt Fund
The bolt fund of the 2003 – 2004 climbing season was donated to Magic Ed, who has put more than the 20% of the routs of El Potrero Chico.

The bolt fund of the 2004 – 2005 climbing season was donated to Dane Bass, whose goal is to put up to 15 routs per month in El Potrero, on this year of 2005.
We thank very much everyone’s support of this fund. Putting up more routes will make the park have much more options for you to climb, as well as more visitors, which will contribute to the growth of Hidalgo’s economy.
