As a family run campsite with private rooms, we aim to provide the facilities our guests want at a sensible price but just as importantly we want to help you have a great all-round experience. Many of our guests come back year after year and recommend us to friends and acquaintances. Steadily increasing visitor numbers have allowed us to improve and expand our facilities, taking on board their many valuable suggestions. |

Location “La Posada” sits below the imposing 600 meter face of the Cerro San Miguel, the mountain which dominates the town of Hidalgo. It is an easy ten minute walk (less than half a mile) from “La Posada” into the canyon of the Potrero Chico, where the most popular climbing areas are found. (a comprehensive and regularly updated climbing guide can be purchased locally.) |

| In the other direction, it is approximately 2 miles into the centre of Hidalgo where important amenities are found (bank, post office, stores, medical centre etc.). Street markets every Tuesday and Friday are also popular with climbers. Visitors without a car often walk or get a ride from other climbers. |
| Grounds
“La Posada” is located on a 4000 square meters site with well-maintained grassy-areas, mature trees, and small decorative gardens. Free car-parking is centrally located in the grounds. |
